Irene Update
Saturday, August 27, 2011

We are still waiting to get an update from the Pungo residents riding it out. Preliminary reports are heavy flooding and high winds. Jan sent some pictures from last night...keep safe folks.

Call at 1:30pm from Billie Jean:
  • Power has been off since 1am.
  • Water up to the top of the bulkhead in front of Ray/Debora Mann house.
  • Water about to go into Voland's house.
  • Richard has lost his Cypress tree.
  • Taylor pier is gone and most likely all wooden piers are gone.
  • Joy and Kenny have lost at least a pecan tree.
  • Mark and Susan's pump house is gone.
  • TJ and Leggett places are surrounded by water.
  • Arie's boat house looks ok.
  • 6 in of water in Mark and Susan/Arie's yard.

Hard to tell on many concrete piers since they are currently under water. Lets hope those hog slats do the trick!

I will try to update with what I know as I know it here. Also check the Facebook page.
